Somebody has to do the hard, lonely job that everyone else is relieved to avoid, and more often than you'd like, that somebody is you. You don't volunteer because you want attention. You volunteer because you can see that someone has to, and you'd rather it be you than watch a friend struggle under it. On the outside you're gentle, a little bookish, and easy to underestimate. On the inside you're a lot harder to break than people assume.

Your strength is endurance. You keep going long after the excitement wears off, and you do it without complaining out loud. You're also kinder than most situations require. You give people second chances, you notice who's been left out, and you'd rather understand someone than judge them. Friends trust you with things they wouldn't tell anyone else, because you listen and you don't repeat it.

You hold onto too much, though. You assume a problem is yours alone to carry, and you keep the worst of it to yourself until it's wearing you down. Letting someone help doesn't make the job any less yours. Tell at least one person how heavy it's getting before it gets that far.
