An aesthetic is more than an outfit

Some people can sum up their whole vibe in one word. Most of us only know it when we see it: a certain kind of room, a certain playlist, the coat we reach for without thinking. Online, those patterns got names. Dark academia, cottagecore, Y2K and the rest started as hashtags and mood boards, and they stuck because they describe something real. So whether you ask "what is my aesthetic?" or "what aesthetic am I?", the honest answer lives in your habits: how you spend a free morning, what piles up on your desk, which gift makes you happiest. That is what this aesthetic quiz looks at. Twelve questions, about two minutes, one result.

It's Saturday morning and nothing is scheduled. Where do you end up?

Your pick counts. The test continues from question 2.Answered. Continue in the test above.

How twelve small choices add up

None of the questions ask you to pick a style, and none of the answers name one, so you can't steer toward the label you were hoping for. Instead you get ordinary moments: packing for a weekend away, a rainy evening at home, the first thing you do in an empty new room. Each answer quietly adds points to one or two aesthetics. When you finish, the aesthetic with the most points is yours. If two are tied, your most recent answers decide it. Go with the option you would actually choose, not the one that sounds most interesting.

From Clean Minimalist to Soft Romantic

There are eight possible results. Clean Minimalist can pack for a week in one small bag. Dark Academia keeps a stack of half-finished books by the bed. Cottagecore measures a good weekend in loaves and seedlings. Y2K treats every outfit, room, and text message as a chance to play. Grunge wears the same boots until they fall apart, on purpose. Old Money keeps traditions going and cares more about how a thing is made than what it costs. Streetwear spots what a city is about to love months before everyone else. Soft Romantic keeps every ticket stub and turns a Tuesday dinner into an occasion. Each result describes how that aesthetic lives day to day, what it is good at, where it trips up, and the aesthetic it gets along with best.

Labels from the internet, not a lab

This is an entertainment quiz. The aesthetics come from internet culture, not from psychology, and the result says nothing official about your personality. Real people are usually a blend of two or three. Treat your result as a starting point, then send the link to a friend and see whether they land somewhere completely different from you. They usually do.

Questions about the Aesthetic Quiz

How many questions are in the aesthetic quiz?

Twelve. Most people finish in about two minutes. You can go back and change earlier answers before you submit the last one.

Which aesthetics can I get?

There are eight results. You can get Clean Minimalist, Dark Academia, Cottagecore, Y2K, Grunge, Old Money, Streetwear, or Soft Romantic.

How is my result calculated?

Each answer gives points to one or two aesthetics. When you finish, the aesthetic with the most points is your result. If two aesthetics tie, your most recent answers break the tie.

Can I have more than one aesthetic?

In real life, almost everyone does. The quiz shows the single aesthetic that scored highest for you. If you feel torn between two, read the result page for the one you expected and see which description sounds more like an ordinary week for you.

Is this a scientific personality test?

No. The aesthetics are labels from internet culture, not psychological types. The quiz is for fun and for comparing with friends, and it can't measure or diagnose anything.

Do you save my answers?

No. Your answers stay in your browser while you take the quiz and are never sent to a server. We don't ask for your name, email, or age.

Can I retake the quiz?

Yes, as many times as you like. Use the Retake button on your result page, or just start again from this page.
